This traditional Andalucian farmhouse has wonderful proportions and lots of character - high ceilings, beams and wood burning stoves.
Set in 18,500M2 of land, in the heart of the lush and gentle mountains immediately inland from Malaga city - this impressive property, quietly sits awaiting new owners.
This 'labour of love' has to be sold by the two families who currently own the property and use it for holidays. They have worked tirelessly to reform it to a high standard but have not quite finished.
There are just a few finishing touches to be done - floor tiles in the master bedroom and an upstairs bathroom.
For the more energetic, the back of the house is left as it has been for hundreds of years. Possibly, difficult to reform for residential use due to the current land law. However, the stables and storerooms would make wonderful hobby rooms or similar. Or perhaps use them as they were intended, for the keeping of animals.
The house has two living rooms - one doubles as an impressive entrance hall and split level, dining/sitting room and the other is used as a snug. Both are generous in size and have a welcoming feeling about them.
Downstairs is the only bathroom at the current time. However, another room has been created upstairs and is ready for another shower room to be put in.
The kitchen/diner is typically Andalucian - has a wood burner in it and a kitchen table. From the kitchen there is access to a cool, shaded terrace with small dining table. This leads accross the courtyard to a further, very impressive covered, alfresco, dining room with long table and brick built BBQ. Perfect for dining with friends and family.
Upstairs, a very impressive galleried landing greets you with vaulted ceiling, beams and a hay loft feel. From here you are led to the 4 bedrooms and intended shower room.
The master bedroom is very large and again, split level. There are a further 2 large, double bedrooms and a single. The single bedroom could be easily incorporated into the proposed shower room to create an impressive and large bathroom.
At the rear of the house, as mentioned above, is a large mule stable, store room and tool shed which are prime for renovation. Your lawyer can advise on what can and cannot be done to this part of the house.
At the front of the property there is also a very handy double garage.
The views are 360 degrees of uninterupted countryside.
There is a dirt track to the property accessed off the old, tarmac, Caserbermeja to Malaga road and it is maintained well by the council.
This property is not for those who want to pop to the corner shop for a pint of milk but is perfect for those looking for a retreat from the stresses of modern day living.
The property is connected to mains water and electricity, has satellite t.v. with UK channels currently connected and there is a large 20,000 ltr water deposit (should the mains very occasionally be cut off for repair work).
Caserbermeja and the A45 to Malaga or Granada, Cordoba and Sevilla is approx. 15 mins drive away and Malaga airport is approx. 45 mins drive away.
If you are looking for an authentic, Andalucian country house - look no further.
