EXCLUSIVE TO TORCAL ESTATES.......

An idyllic retreat. Currently run as a holiday letting business and farm, this country estate is so flexible it suits many different uses.

Set in 80,000M2 of quality, useable farm land with no immediate neighbours, complete privacy yet access is easy via, tarmac and concrete roads right to the door.

The property comprises a main house, a separate guest cottage, a separate guest studio, a large barn, 12 x 5 M swimming pool, a variety of outbuildings and mature gardens.

THE MAIN HOUSE:

Completely reformed but carefully keeping the Andalucian, rustic feel of a farm house. Vaulted and beamed ceilings, character wood burner, arched, wooden windows with shutters, terracotta floors, white walls, large covered terrace and oozing charm.

The living/dining room is large and has an airy, spacious feel yet at the same time is inviting and homely. This room is the hub of the home and two of the double bedrooms with contemporary en-suite bathrooms are accessed from here. Both bedrooms have A/Conditioning and very useful storage spaces above the wardrobes.

The third bedroom is accessed off the large kitchen and has its own separate access to outside. This room has a w.c. with handbasin. A versatile room that would equally make a wonderful hobby room or art studio.

The fully fitted kitchen is tastefully finished and well appointed.

Outside, the large, covered terrace takes in the impressive and panoramic views which include in the distance the El Torcal mountain range and natural park. Step down and round the corner of the house and you come across the evening, open terrace to take in the impressive sunsets.

SEPARATE GUEST COTTAGE:

Regularly booked by guests who want to return to this beautifully presented cottage. A good size terrace greets you as you arrive and a typical wooden and metal studded Andalucian door takes you inside this charming cottage.

The living/kithen/diner is large, light and has a vaulted ceiling with beams. All the windows throughout the cottage are wooden with shutters. The floors throughout are rustic, terracotta tiles.

Both bedrooms are good size doubles with beamed, vaulted ceilings.

The shower room is contemporary yet fits beautifully with the rustic feel of the cottage as a whole.

The cottage has cieling/wall fans in all rooms, satellite t.v. (currently UK channels) and storage space above the bathroom and second bedroom.

GUEST STUDIO:

Cute and comfy is the best way to describe this studio. One room, separated into a cooking, sleeping , dining and living with a separate shower room. It reminded us of a ski chalet!

SWIMMING POOL:

Wow! A fabulous 9.5m x 4.5m swimming pool surrounded by mature gardens, a terrace and lawn. The huge covered sitting area just adds a little something special. The views from here are stunning wherever you look. Even the rocky mound behind the pool is impressive in itself.

LARGE BARN:

Currently used for storage and to house the odd classic car! This barn could be used for so many different things. Raise the roof and convert it into stables, use it for keeping livestock, or perhaps convert it into an artist studio, yoga or treatment room?

VARIOUS OUTBUILDINGS:

There are various mule stables, chicken coops etc. but one larger building has been converted into a handy laundry room. Ideal when running a holiday rental business.

SERVICES:

The entire property has mains electricity, mains water (with back up water deposit), water well that gives 1,000ltrs of water per day (ideal for the garden!)

LAND:

This year the land has been tended by a local farmer who planted for wheat. The owners tend to the olives themselves - 600 in total (300 of which are young olive trees that are all irrigated). Approx. 20,000 kilos of olives are collected each year and this amount rises as the young trees grow. The gardens are not extensive but are pretty and add interest all around each house and are just enough to make you feel at home.

There are numerous fruit trees around the main house and cottage including figs, almond and pomegranate trees.

If you do not want to tend to the land or the olives yourselves a contract for working the land can easily been drawn up with neighbouring farms.

Equally, you may decide to change the use of the land and this is entirely up to you.

FARMING EQUIPMENT:

A tractor, trailer and 4 x 4 truck can be included.

USES FOR THE ESTATE:

This property is so versatile. Continue to run it as it is - a holiday rental business supported by wheat and olive crops. Or perhaps keep horses here. The land is gently rolling and ideal for horses. The large barn is prime for conversion into stables. Perhaps, you might like to keep rare breed livestock or maybe Alpacas? The current business could be enhanced by converting the large barn and offering treatments and yoga classes or perhaps a wellness centre? The property is also very suitable to set up a Glam Camping which do not exist yet in the area .

Maybe, you are creative and want to run painting holidays. The light here is superb most of the year.

The owners recently also installed a bouldering area on their land which greatly enjoyed by the rental clients. http://www.bouldering-spain.com/

But the opportunities are endless. What would you like to do? Feel free to contact us to discuss your thoughts. We have loads more photos to show you. It was hard choosing just 12!

LOCATION:

Just 10 mins into Valle de Abdalaijis via tarmac and concrete roads. Alora can be reached in 20 mins via quality dirt tracks or in approx. 30 mins via tarmac roads. Malaga and the coast are approx. 45 mins drive away.

LOCAL FACILITIES:

Valle de Abdalaijis has everything for daily living. Small supermarkets, a petrol station, 24 hr medical centre, bars, restaurants, bakers, pharmacy etc

Alora is a small town and even has a railway station. You will get all you need there and if not, Malaga is not far away or even the Costas where you can get anything you want.
